Housing

We keep 2 females or 1 male to a large contico tub as seen on the right. We use Savannah a substrate and include a water bowl food dish and a moist and dry hide to each tub.

Heating

We use heat matt to heat all our  vivariums and keep them at a constant 88f using a thermostat.

Feeding

We leave a dish of mealworms supplemented with nutrobal and calcium, we leave a small cap filled with calcium in breeding females tubs.

We leave a dish constantly filled with fresh water in the tubs.

Breeding

Around march our females will become receptive and we can see this by there reaction to the males. When the male courts the female if she runs, bites and hides it means she is not ready yet and try in a week or 2 again. But if she sits there and lets the male do what he is doing it means she is receptive and ready to breed.

Once bred your female will take 2-3 weeks to lay her eggs and will generally lay 2 at a time. We leave a container filled with moist vermiculite in the tubs for the females to dig and lay the eggs in.

Incubation

We incubate in a 50:50mix of perlite and vermiculite. We mix this at a 4:6 ratio 4 parts being water. We leave our eggs at 78f for females and 90f for males.
