Yellow Striped Plated Lizard

 These lizards are native to the dry rocky, semi open habitats of the southern and eastern Africa. They become tame very quickly and make good pet lizards.

• Size:  maximum 18"
• Lighting: Full spectrum flourescent uv bulbs and a basking light is required
• Temperature range:  Day 86-92 Degrees  Night 68 Degrees
• Food:  Crickets/Locusts coated in calcium and vitamin powder and pinkie mice. Some dark green leafy vegetables and sweet fruit should be offered
• Water:  A large bowl of clean water containing vitamin drops should always be available
• Housing/Habitat:  A vivarium equiped with a heat mat with sand or dessert mix substrate is needed. Landscaping to simulate dry semi open areas. It is important to provide hiding places and sufficient substrate for digging
